I am waiting for someone

I am waiting for someone to arrive,
whose face will shine to light up my life,

I am waiting for someone to care,
to spur me on and always be there.

I am waiting for someone to love on,
someone to lean on when the going gets tough,

I am waiting for someone to say,
that I am the thought every night and day.

yes I am waiting and that’s all I shall do,
for these are my dreams they never come true.
